Welcome to The Birmingham Course, the leading online preparatory course for the Royal College of Psychiatrists Membership Examinations (MRCPsych). We provide comprehensive revision courses and mock exams for candidates who are preparing for these examinations. All our course material is based on the principles of evidence based revision and has been developed by our team of academics, clinicians, college examiners and college prizewinners.

The Online Courses (for each of the three papers) include a comprehensive question bank containing both the ‘best of five’ & the ‘Extended Matching’ items in the format that the College currently uses. All the questions have concise explanations and the evidence base for the answers (references in the form of textbooks, journal articles, clinical guidelines etc). Our CASC online resource provides a comprehensive set of stations that cover the areas tested in the exam and can be used by individuals as well as groups preparing for the exam.

The question bank has over 3500 questions (BOFs and EMIs) and is expanding rapidly. It the largest question bank available for exam revision. We constantly update the bank to reflect the questions from the College exams and recent developments in psychiatry.

Last year 75% of candidates sitting the MRCPsych examinations used The Birmingham Course whilst preparing for their exam which is an indication of the important of the Birmingham Course for MRCPsych revision.
