About us:

When the course founders (that’s Pavan and Bill) were preparing for the College exams they noticed how little exam focused revision material and teaching was available. And that’s why they started The Birmingham Course. The course soon became quite popular and a group of energetic people with a flair for teaching joined the group. The aim was always quite clear, to provide exam focused teaching.

With the growth of the internet, exam preparation actually became more difficult with different sources suggesting different answers to the same question! We recognised the value of a course that provided definitive answers by clear and current references. We call this approach evidence based revision. It has changed the way candidates prepare for the exams (and we think it has made it less stressful!).

The Birmingham Course is the ORIGINAL MRCPsych Online Course. Since we started our online courses and Mock exams, there have been many cheap imitations. Our online course has grown exponentially and is now the most preferred way to revise. Recognizing this, in July 2009, we took the difficult decision to end our residential courses and use the expertise and insights we have gained from 6 years of classroom teaching to develop the online course further. We are slightly geeky and enjoy adding questions and answers- we do hope our efforts make your exam preparation easier. Please let us know whether we are succeeding
